Curriculum & Syllabus Consulting
I advise institutions on curriculum and syllabus development for contemporary music programmes, with a focus on applied learning, ensemble fluency, and rhythm-based pedagogies. My work spans jazz-informed approaches, improvisation, assessment design, and broader areas of music theory and creative practice.
My background includes a Doctor of Music Education, a Doctor of Music in Contemporary Performance, fellowships in musicology and composition, and extensive experience designing undergraduate and postgraduate modules at Hitmaker Global Academy, LASALLE College of the Arts, and Singapore Raffles Music College. I also write and implement my own internal syllabi for principal study teaching, creative workshop modules, and ensemble coaching.
Current projects include a syllabus focused on brush technique for advanced percussion learners (pending approval), alongside my doctoral research in Curriculum Innovation and Pedagogic Design. My approach is research-informed, musically grounded, and designed for real-world application across higher education and professional training contexts.
If your school, college, or programme is launching, updating, or reshaping a music curriculum—whether as a single module or a full academic strand—I’m happy to contribute.
