
Artist-in-Residence & Visiting Clinician
Dr Eugene Seow is available for short-term Artist-in-Residence or Visiting Clinician engagements with universities, conservatoires, schools, and arts organisations seeking an experienced educator-performer for intensive, high-impact projects.
Residencies can include:

Ensemble direction (jazz, pop, hybrid, rhythm-section)

Rhythm-based studies: groove, improvisation, brush technique, global time-feel

These engagements may be structured around school arts weeks, conservatoire intensives, festival outreach, curriculum pilots, or project-based collaborations. Dr Seow works comfortably with both student groups and teaching staff.
Dr Seow’s professional background spans performance, ensemble direction, curriculum design, and postgraduate supervision. His credentials include a Doctor of Music Education (DME), fellowships in percussion, electric bass, and contemporary piano, a Licentiate in Drum Kit, and extensive practice-led research in rhythm pedagogy and ensemble fluency. He brings a cross-instrumental, research-informed, and practice-grounded approach to all residency formats.
Engagements may take the form of single-day visits, multi-day intensives, or extended project-based residencies.
