Artist-in-Residence & Visiting Clinician
I am available for short-term artist-in-residence or guest clinician engagements with institutions, ensembles, and festivals seeking to bring in an experienced educator-performer for intensive or collaborative work.
These residencies may include coaching, repertoire development, creative workshops, ensemble direction, or themed sessions in areas such as jazz improvisation, rhythm studies, brush technique, or groove-based performance. I can work with both student groups and teaching staff depending on the format and goals of the programme.
Residencies can be structured around school arts weeks, conservatoire intensives, festival outreach, or ad hoc institutional projects. Whether you’re looking to develop your rhythm section, build a jazz ensemble from the ground up, or offer your students exposure to contemporary pedagogy in action, I’d be glad to contribute.
My professional background includes live performance, ensemble direction, and principal study tuition across multiple instruments, supported by formal qualifications including a Doctor of Music Education (DME), Fellowship in Performance (Percussion), Fellowship (Electric Bass), Fellowship (Contemporary Piano), Licentiate in Drum Kit (Distinction), and a Certificate in Professional Performance (Percussion, Distinction). I also specialize in curriculum development and postgraduate teaching. I bring a cross-disciplinary, high-accountability approach to all artist-in-residence work, shaped by both academic rigour and real-world musicianship.
Engagements can be structured as single-day sessions, multi-day intensives, or project-based residencies.
Please get in touch to discuss availability, scope, and logistics.
