Curriculum & Syllabus Consulting

I provide curriculum and syllabus consulting services for institutions seeking to develop or refine their music education programmes. My focus is on contemporary and applied learning environments. These include rhythm, improvisation, ensemble, and jazz-based content, though I’ve also worked across broader areas such as theory, pedagogy, and assessment design.

My academic background (Doctor of Music Education) is complemented by real-world experience writing syllabi for Hitmaker Global Academy and Singapore Raffles Music College, where I’ve taught and developed both undergraduate and postgraduate modules. I also write and implement my own internal syllabi for principal study, creative workshopping, and ensemble coaching. I actively draw from a mix of jazz, global rhythm practices, and practical pedagogy.

I’m currently developing a brush-focused syllabus for advanced percussion learners, which forms the basis of my FRSM (Music Education) proposal. While still pending approval, the project reflects my broader approach to curriculum development: research-informed, musically grounded, and designed for real application.
